copypaste.wiki API

Create, read and delete pastes from scripts and tools. Send form fields (application/x-www-form-urlencoded) or JSON; responses are plain text unless noted.

Your API key

Send it as the api_key field. Keep it secret.

Create a paste

POSThttps://copypaste.wiki/api/paste

Creates a paste and returns its URL. Works without a key too (the paste is then owned by nobody and can't be deleted).

expirenoN, 10M, 1H, 1D, 1W, 2W, 1M, 6M, 1Y. Default N (never).

exposurenopublic, unlisted, private. Default public.

passwordnoProtect the paste with a password.

burnno1 to delete the paste after the first view.

foldernoFolder name (with api_key only).

Get raw paste

GEThttps://copypaste.wiki/raw/{id}

Returns the paste as text/plain. Private pastes need ?api_key=, password-protected ones need ?password=. Burn-after-read pastes are deleted by this request.

List your pastes

POSThttps://copypaste.wiki/api/list

Returns your pastes as JSON, newest first.

Delete a paste

DELETEhttps://copypaste.wiki/api/paste/{id}

Deletes one of your pastes and returns Paste removed. POST https://copypaste.wiki/api/delete with id does the same.

Errors

Errors are plain text starting with Bad API request, plus an HTTP status:

400missing or invalid field

401invalid api_key, or wrong password

403not your paste

404paste not found or expired

413content is larger than the size limit

429too many requests, slow down
